Position Summary:
We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Marketing Coordinator to join our team for the summer. This is an excellent opportunity for youths looking to gain hands-on experience in marketing, communications, and community engagement while supporting a national organization with a strong social mission.
Marketing Strategy Support
- Assist in developing and executing a summer social media campaign
- Track and analyze performance metrics, adjusting strategies to improve impact
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute fresh marketing ideas
- Capture and edit media from events or virtual activities for digital use
- Maintain an organized content calendar
- Prepare reports summarizing the outcomes of social media and marketing campaigns
Community Engagement
- Work with project teams to highlight success stories and initiatives
- Identify opportunities for collaboration with member centres, partners, community organizations, and potential funders.
- Develop compelling fundraising materials (social posts, emails, and web content)
- Research donor engagement strategies and potential partnerships
Qualifications:
- A youth between the ages of 15-30 (per the Canada Summer Jobs Eligibility)
- A Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment (per the Canada Summer Jobs Eligibility)
- Valid SIN number with legal entitlement to work in Canada (per the Canada Summer Jobs Eligibility)
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Familiarity with social media platforms and basic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Spark, CapCut)
- Creativity, initiative, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Lived experience with disability is preferred
- Bilingual - preferred
- Interest in disability advocacy, community engagement, and social change is a plus
